Research

I investigated how Amazon warehouses use digital Taylorism to improve operational efficiency. I evaluated these efficiency gains through labour productivity, lean production, and financial performance. I also examined the impact of digital Taylorism on workers through Self-Determination Theory, industrial relations, and labour turnover. I evaluated Amazon’s warehouse management practices from multiple stakeholder perspectives and assessed the trade-off between short-term productivity and long-term sustainability.

Through this research, I realized that businesses must balance shareholder value with worker well-being to achieve long-term sustainability. I also learned how to select appropriate business tools to evaluate corporate practices.
